Skill Building: Let's Spin Spirals!

Have you dreamt of beautiful spiral yarns and wished you knew how to spin them? Learn the basic spiral yarn and variations of it as we demystify spinning spirals. We will cover what makes a good spiral yarn, techniques and tips that will help you spin spirals and variations that include the flame spiral and beaded spiral yarns.

We will talk about 

- Spinning a thick and thin single. 

- Moving from spinning larger to spinning finer and back again.

- Different plying techniques and the effect they have on your finished yarn.

- How to add beads into your yarn.

- Finishing techniques for spiral yarns.

Prerequisites

This class is suitable for beginner to intermediate spinners. You must be able to spin a continuous single using a worsted style draw. Plying knowledge is not required but will be an asset.
